Mobiliario y Módulos Revolución.

El Diseño de estos elementos fueros comisionados por la Autoridad del Espacio Público (AEP) a MYT Diseño en colaboración con Ariel Rojo, como parte del proyecto de rehabilitación de la Plaza de la Constitución.

El diseño de estos elementos esta inspirado en las estructuras que hoy observamos en el interior y acceso del monumento. Este lenguaje industrial en donde el uso del fierro colado en placas, remaches y vigas se volvió sinónimo del progreso y modernidad de aquella época. Otra fuente de inspiración fue la locomotora y el sistema ferroviario debido a su relevante importancia en la Revolución Mexicana, Una de las bancas lleva el nombre “Ferrocarril” la cual rinde tributo a las antiguas bancas de espera corridas que se encontraban en las estaciones de tren. Las placas “Revolución” rinden tributo a los diferentes actores, lugares y hechos de nuestra Revolución. La mayor parte de estos elementos esta fabricada con aluminio 100% reciclado, hecho y diseñado en México.

Furniture and modules of the Revolution

The design of these elements was commissioned by the Authority of Public Space (Autoridad del Espacio Público (AEP)) and MYT Design in collaboration with Ariel Rojo, as part of the Plaza de la Constitución’s rehabilitation project.

The design is inspired in the structures that we can observe from the access area and interior area of the monument. It is based on the industrial language of the time were the use of cast iron for plaques, rivets and beams signified progress and modernity. Another source of inspiration was the locomotive and the railway system due to its relevant importance in the Mexican Revolution. One of the benches takes the name of “Ferrocarril” which brings tribute to the ancient waiting benches that were found in train stations.  The “Revolution” plaques bring tribute to the different characters, places and events of our revolution. The majority of these objects were fabricated with aluminum, 100% recycled, designed and made in Mexico.
