A la Mexicana

A la Mexicana (The Mexican Way)

This project was born during the first edition of the Mexican Design Open, as means of enabling the materialization of prototypes designed by students, using the rapid prototyping technique. This was a collaboration we did along with José Arango and Javier M. Gaxiola, where short workshops were held, as well as a series of lectures on design and ideas to create a collection of 3-D printed objects that would solve needs on an improvised fashion, “a la mexicana”, the Mexican way to do it. The attached image presents the “Sucker Stopper”, designed by Ariel Rojo, and object that makes users stop drinking directly from the carton. It was developed on the Casa Vecina facilities.
