Storefront for Art and Architecture is an arts organization located in SoHo, Manhattan. Ariel Rojo was invited to take part in a special event that aspired to highlight and connect outstanding and emerging voices from the artistic and architectural trades. This participation consisted on the donation of a piece that suited the theme of the event, the concept of “trans”: transfigured, transparent, translucent, transsexual, transatlantic, transcendental… Ariel Rojo presented the skull that belongs to the “Losing my America” collection; it relates to the transition between crafts and design, materialized through a Mexican technique, one that belongs to the huichol community.
